Look Ma, No Stinger!

Vinegaroon
Mastigoproctus giganteus

Vinegaroons are arachnids with large pincers and long tails that are also called Whip Scorpions. These desert dwellers don't sting or bite when they are threatened. Instead they spray an acidic mist from the base of their tails. It smells just like vinegar and can irritate the eyes of an enemy that might be thinking about eating it. Despite their menacing looks, they are usually shy and do their best to escape when encountered by humans.
