Bubble Beetle
Bio Info
Giant Water Scavenger Beetles are beneficial insects that eat plant and animal debris that settles on the bottom of the still waters of ponds, creeks and lakes. This breaks down solid matter into nutrient rich, smaller particles which return to the soil. The easiest way to encounter one of these aquatic beetles is to find them at night. They are attracted to lights in the darkness and will fly towards them to go hang out with thier buddies on the porch.
